I (Emily) started writing this song as a confession and prayer to the Lord to say that anything life brings and the Lord allows would be given to Him. Like the heart of King David in 2 Samuel 24.24, I don’t want to offer anything to God that costs me nothing. Every melody, penny, gift, skill, anything of value, would be given back to the Lord who gave it in the first place.
We were sitting and sharing songs with some of our dear friends, and Nathan effortlessly accompanied the melody and lyrics in this recording. Our brother Kaleb has encouraging color commentary to enjoy as well.
